Little Mermaid Screening + Interactive Story Telling at Seward Park

  • 4816 Rainier Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

Come under the sea with us! We are excited to host this sliding scale viewing of The Little Mermaid because sometimes curoisty about nature is fostered through the media and , honestly, we need more Black mermaids.

Ticket cost: $0-$12

The viewing will be at Ark Lodge Cinema in Columbia City, Seattle. Doors
open at 9:30AM, seating is first come first served.

After the viewing, grab a free slice of pizza (thanks to a donation from Paggliaci Pizza) and then join us at Seward Park. We will be joining our friends at Golden Bricks Events during their Refuge Day: Pride Edition celebration. At 1pm we will be facilitating an interactive reading of Julian is a Mermaid by Jessica Love. We invite all Humans, Merpeople, Fish, & Sea Serpents to a "fintastic" afternoon of storytelling mermaid games with a real Black Mermaid! Learn the secrets of Afro-Indigenous Sirens and Water Spirits, play "mermazing" games, and discover our own individual Mermagic.
