About Us

Braided Seeds is a Black-centering 501c3 nonprofit committed to removing barriers to experiencing the wonders of the Pacific Northwest for BIPOC communities.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for rest, restoration, and reconnection to the land, especially for communities of Color.

We accomplish this mission by sponsoring rest retreats for BIPOC, distributing gear and outdoor passes, leading outdoor adventures, and hosting community camping trips and retreats.

There’s no one way or right way to be outdoors. We foster experiences that can serve as onramps towards a personal connection rooted in each person’s uniqueness.
